As of 9:45 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 2, utility crews from Eversource were still working to make repairs to 14,591 of its 1.286 million customers in Connecticut, while United Illuminated was reporting 141 outages impacting 1,646 customers.
According to Eversource, more than 150 customers were still reporting outages in:
- Monroe: 992;
- East Lyme: 815;
- Redding: 793;
- Stamford: 630;
- Greenwich: 563;
- Thompson: 542;
- Killingworth: 520;
- North Stonington: 513;
- Ridgefield: 503;
- Seymour: 497;
- Madison: 491;
- Newtown: 436;
- Guilford: 430;
- Sherman: 411;
- East Haddam: 337;
- Norwalk: 291;
- Weston: 279;
- Danbury: 260;
- Darien: 256;
- Washington: 237;
- Haddam: 225;
- Willington: 214;
- New Fairfield: 206;
- Brookfield: 198;
- Wilton: 194;
- Coventry: 180;
- Westbrook: 178;
- Farmington: 169.
No time for complete restoration has been provided by Eversource.
“Crews have been busy working through the night to clear and repair tree damage caused by the strong wind and heavy rain from Ida, including trees that have fallen into the road,” officials said. “Wires can get tangled in debris. Please stay away from downed wires and report them immediately to 911.”
